WOODHULL, N.Y. -- It was a regular Big 6 Show along with the 270 Micro Sprints sponsored by Dgien Trucking. The night started off with the S&W Awards and Photos Crate Sportsman. Russ Morseman III and Ray Smith led the field at the drop of the green. The two drivers battled side by side for the lead until Morseman got a little out of shape on lap 7, falling back to third as Smith used that opportunity to take over the lead. As the class struggled with yellow fever, Ajay Potrzebowski used the cautions to his advantage as he steadily moved his way up through the field. At the restart on lap 12, Potrzebowski slung his car to the outside in an attempt to take the lead, as he moved his way up to 3rd. In the end, Smith picked up his first feature win this season as Art Goodier finished second. Potrzebowski and Chris Daugherty finished side by side with Daugherty edging out Potrzebowski for third, as Morseman rounded out the top five. Morseman and Goodier also collected heat wins along with AJ Costly and Roger Williams.

Next up it was the NAPA 360 Late Models. With many heavy hitters such as, Glen Whritenour, Jeremy Wonderling, Bruce Miller, and Mike Wonderling Sr. starting within the top five it was bound to be a close race for the top spot. Jeremy Wonderling quickly took the lead but Miller, Wonderling Sr., Whritenour, John and Dusty Waters were not far behind as they swapped positions within the top five. With less than 10 laps to go Wonderling Sr. cleared Whritenour to close in on his son Jeremy. The pair weaved their way through lap traffic until Jeremy got a flat left front while negotiating lapped traffic allowing Wonderling Sr. to take over the lead. With only two to go, John Waters, up from 18th, ran alongside Whritenour for second, as Miller was right on their bumpers itching to break into the top three. Unfortunately, with less than a lap to go Miller’s car went off the pace as he dropped from 4th to 9th. Wonderling Sr. was able to fend off both Whritenour and Waters to pick up the win as John Waters beat out Whritenour for second, with Dusty Waters and Billy VanPelt rounding out the top five. John Waters, Jeremy Wonderling, and Bruce Miller all took home a heat win.

The Insinger Performance 370 Modifieds took to the track with Mike Bills and Driver of the Week Eric Fisher starting up front. Bills quickly took the lead as Fisher kept him within close distance. Half way through the feature it was still Bills in the lead as Fisher continued to keep him within sight as Frank Dunning followed in third. At this point, Billy VanPelt had made his way from 12th to 4th. VanPelt worked the outside to perfection as he took over the runner up spot on lap 16 and within three laps became the new leader. As the checkered flags waved, VanPelt collected his fourth feature win this season. Donny Lawson finished in the runner up spot as Mike Bills, Frank Dunning, and the Dgien Trucking sponsored Joe Dgien rounded out the top five. Lawson, Dylan Dewert, and Steve Hartman Jr. picked up the heat wins.

In the Joe Willcox Performance Street Stock feature event, rookie Cory Costa took charge of the race at the green. However, veteran driver Teddy Morseman charged his way to the front to run side by side with Costa. From the outside, Morseman passed for the lead down the backstretch. Costa then had to contend with Kurt Stebbins and Jeredd Dennis for second. On lap eleven, Costa’s car lost power after getting together with Dennis, putting him to the back of the field after a good run in the top five. Morseman picked up his sixth feature win followed by Kurt Stebbins, Jeredd Dennis, and Brett Marlatt. Jeremy Potrzebowski, after making a trip to the pits in the early laps, raced his way from last to round out the top five. Morseman and Dennis along with Bob Buono collected the heat wins.

Next up it was the Signs Plus of Kanona Minis Stocks. Chip Warner took the lead early on in the race. Mid way through, Jason Ketrow was there to take over the lead from Warner. Ketrow looked set to pick up his first feature win this season. However, from the back of the field, Rich Sharpsteen had worked his way up to the runner up spot where he then challenged Ketrow for the lead. The two ran side by side with Sharpsteen taking the lead in the final laps to collect his fourth feature win this season. Warner was able to find his way back around Ketrow to take second as John Hand Jr. and Brian Grant Sr. rounded out the top five. Sharpsteen also collected a checkered flag in the heat events along with Ray Spiecher.

Finishing the night, it was the LaBarron Brothers’ Repair & Parts Front Wheel Drive Division. James Howard took the lead early on as Billy Joe Birdsall closed in on the leader. The two ran side by side most of the race, swapping for the lead multiple times. Joseph Birdsall then joined the mix making it three wide for the lead in the final laps. Matt Prescott quietly worked his way up to fourth, and made it a four wide race for the lead on the final lap. Around the final turn Prescott took the lead to pick up his second feature win. Billy Joe Birdsall, Joseph Birdsall, James Howard, and Cody Baker rounded out the top five. Prescott also picked up a heat win along with Elmer Smith.

In the 270 Micro Sprints Jason Stoyer convincingly won, making it back to back wins as he won at Clinton County the night before.

On June 23rd it will be a regular Big 6 Show along with 360 Late Model King of the Ring Challenge. The Racin’ with the Mason’s night will be sponsored by Troupscreek Auto.

Gates open at 4:30pm, with racing at 6:30pm.
