DONNELLSON, Iowa -- Lee County Speedway is proud to announce that Dunker Concrete, Quincy, Ill., has stepped up to add money to the Sport Mod feature event for this Thursday’s Sport Mod feature, during Bud Night.

Budweiser hosts their annual party in the pits, while LCS hosts the Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Sprint Invaders, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA Sport Mods and Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars.

With the addition of the money from Dunker Concrete the Sport Mod event will pay $400 to win and $250 for second. Tenth place will pay the previous advertised $100, while the event will pay $75 to start.

Discount Tire and Service, Keokuk, has come on board to add $75 to first place in the IMCA Stock Car feature event, Thursday, during Bud Night at Lee County Speedway.

That means that first place will pay $400-to-win for the Stock Cars, after Ryan Clark, the voice of Lee County Speedway, chipped in another $25 to match the Sport Mod payout. Discount Tire and Service will also add $50 to second place and $25 to third place.

On top of that, Discount Tire will also give one lucky Stock Car driver a free tire. Owner Jim Gillenwater will be running in the Sport Mod event. Whatever place he finishes in the Sport Mod race the corresponding Stock Car finisher will get the tire. That means if Gillenwater finishes 4th then the 4th place finisher in the Stock Car feature will get a free tire.

Again, Lee County Speedway would like to thank Dunker Concrete and Discount Tire and Service for making the contributions to the two respective purses today.

Both the Stock Cars and Sport Mods will be racing a draw/redraw show for national, regional and state IMCA points. Pit Passes are $25.

Adult grandstand admission is $12, while seniors are $10 and students 11-17 are $8. Children 10 and under are free.

Races start at 7:30 pm, Thursday!
