by Ryan Delph, Jimmy Mars Racing

MENOMONIE, Wis. -- Jimmy Mars racked up his third feature win of the 2012 racing season on Friday night, April 27 at his hometown Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin! Jimmy won his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled off fourth on the grid in the 15-lap main event. The popular driver known as the "Iceman" raced out to an early lead and drove his familiar #28 to victory lane by defeating Chad Mahder, AJ Diemel, Jake Redetzke, and Scott Gilberts. You can read more about Jimmy's $1,000 triumph by clicking on www.redcedarracing.com.

"It was great to get another win here locally - especially at Red Cedar in front of an awesome bunch of fans," exclaimed Mars. "We haven't hit the road much since Florida due to the amount of Late Models and Modifieds we had to prepare for our clients, but I am ready for some of these bigger shows that are coming up on our schedule. The extra time around home also allows us to get our own equipment prepared as best we can, so hopefully that shows this upcoming weekend at Granite City and Paducah!"

The Mars Racing team will hit the road this upcoming weekend (May 4-5) to enter a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns. First up will be a trip to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday night for a $10,000 to win battle. Saturday's weekend finale will take the #28 team to the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky for a similar $10,000 to win tilt. Both shows will be headlined by 50-lap feature events.
