PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- G.R. Smith and the Premier Motorsports team, along with Delph Communications, would like to announce the launch of a brand new website into cyberspace. The new site, which is located at www.grsmith22.com, is dedicated to the young Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania transplant and includes the latest news, schedule information, photos, and much more on G.R. The twenty-four year old driver is making the switch to Dirt Late Models this season, after being a force in the D.I.R.T. Big Block Modified ranks.

G.R., who recently moved to Pittsburgh from Folsom, New Jersey, made a name for himself at the Bridgeport (NJ) Speedway and the New Egypt (NJ) Speedway by capturing several track championships and Rookie of the Year awards. He was also a multiple main event winner in the D.I.R.T. 358 Modified division in 2005. G.R. also made a splash on asphalt with the ARCA RE/MAX Series. He has competed at the Daytona International Speedway, the Toledo Speedway, and the Lake Erie Speedway in recent years.

In 2006, G.R. will continue to enter a few ARCA events while he makes the jump to the ultra-competitive Dirt Late Model division. To help speed up the learning curve, G.R. will field Rocket Chassis out of Shinnston, West Virginia and will have Sullivan, Wisconsin engine builder Pro Power Racing Engines supplying all of the power to his #22 machine. Additional sponsors on the immaculately prepared race car include: Dirt Wheels Speed Shop, MCB Motorsports, Giacobbe Trucking, Baker Carburetion, Delph Communications, and DH Competition Decals by HIP.

G.R. is not planning on following a series schedule in 2006, but will instead run an “outlaw-type” racing schedule. He plans on entering some or all of the Speedweek events in Georgia and Florida starting in February, but because of an ARCA opportunity at Daytona, his dirt schedule is uncertain. G.R. will definitely be at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 13-18; however, to compete in the UMP and World of Outlaws Stacker2 Late Model Series events at the 1/2-mile, high-banked facility.

The newly formed Premier Motorsports team is currently looking for additional primary, associate, and product sponsors for both their Dirt Late Model and ARCA RE/MAX Series efforts. The team is also looking for a full-time crew chief for their #22 Rocket / Pro Power Grand Prix. If you are interested in either sponsoring G.R. in any way or are interested in serving as the crew chief on his car, please contact him at 609.496.2650.

G.R. Smith and the Premier Motorsports team would like to thank the following sponsors for their support this season: Dirt Wheels Speed Shop, MCB Motorsports, Giacobbe Trucking, Baker Carburetion, Delph Communications, DH Competition Decals by HIP, Pro Power Racing Engines, and Rocket Chassis.

The latest dirt on the #22 team can be found online at www.grsmith22.com.
