CHARLESTON, Ill. -- The weather could have been better this past weekend, but many racers bundled up and braved the elements to try to win a little money. It seems everyone had red light fever. Four out of five finals at Coles County Dragway, USA were decided on the starting line by red lights.

Wes Butler of Bement, IL beat Rick Willenborg of Dieterich, IL when Willenborg left too early when his bulbs came down. In Pro Class action, Terry Willard, of Mattoon, IL prevailed over the fastest car in the class. Jim Dronenberg turned on his red light which turned on Willards win light. Dronenberg hails from O'Dell, IL. After having racers help him fix his car, Steve Freeman from Urbana, IL advanced through the Street Class to face Alex Clodfelder of Charleston, IL. Freemen's good fortunate ran out in the final as he turned on his red light against Clodfelder, giving Clodfelder the automatic win. Chad Isley of Charleston, IL returned as the Motorcycle Class winner. He beat Ryan Beery of Decatur, IL. Beery was appearing in his first final. Junior Dragsters ran this past weekend at Coles County Dragway, USA. Carly "Bug" Bryant of Litchfield, IL was visiting the track since her home track was closed. It certainly paid off for her. Bryant beat Samantha Arnold of Casey, IL in the Junior Dragster final.

This coming weekend there will be a box/no box race on Saturday, April 30th. On May 1st, there will be regular ET action. Both days will run on the Sunday Day Race Schedule. For more information, visit www.colescountydragwayusa.com
