MORRIS, Ill. -- Stockcar Racing in four Divisions heats up this Fri Night at The Grundy County Speedway. As the 2012 season begins to wind down. A Special Street Stock 33 lap main event paying tribute to the late Ed “The Candy man” Mahoney will highlight the night’s program. Ed was a weekly competitor who was tagged “The Candy man” for his generous offering of candy to all the kids after the races. This Friday will be no different as candy and treats will be distributed to the fans plus special prizes via lucky numbers for a full night of fun. Mahoney passed in Oct 2008 and his car 33 signifies the distance of the event. As the end of the season nears, the division point standings are heating up and the competition is sure to be fierce. The place to be this Friday night is the Grundy County Speedway

The gates open Friday at 6:00 p.m., with time trials set for 6:45 p.m. and the first race getting the green flag at 8:00 p.m. Four Division feature races will highlight the program Including Super Late Model, MidAm Sportsman, Street Stocks, and 4 Cylinders.
