Thursday, July 5, 2012 Lanco's Clyde Martin Speedway Changes Start Time this Saturday
 by Barry AngstadtNEWMANSTOWN, Pa. -- After a successful Micro Mania and 270 Clash at the Clyde, Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway returns with a regular show featuring the Sportsman, 125cc, 4 Stroke, and 270cc sprint classes. The 600cc sprint class has the night off.
Due to the excessive heat that is forecast for the region on Saturday, Lanco officials have pushed back the time schedule of the entire racing program.
Gates will now open at 5:30 p.m., with warm-ups slated for 7:00. The first heat race will take the green flag at 7:30, when the temperature should be more tolerable for the drivers, crews, officials, and fans.
The teams that call the Clyde "home" on Saturday nights will be fighting for every position as they gear up for the double-point, 35-lap Clyde Martin Memorial Race in just three weeks (Saturday, July 28).
The month of July, culminating with the Grandaddy of all Lanco events, the Clyde Martin Memorial Race, is always crucial to the championship hopes of the contenders in all five weekly divisions.
This week's agenda calls for qualifying heats, consolations, and 25-lap feature races with the complete schedule of events listed below.
