MEP Late Models, WMDH Thundercars, Thunder Roadsters and Legends Showcased at Anderson Speedway

ANDERSON, Ind. -- Anderson Speedway returns to racing action on Saturday, June 23 with the racing lineup of McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, WMDH ThunderCars, Thunder Roadsters and Legends.

The MEP Late Models will compete for a second consecutive week with Josh Poore continuing to sit atop the point standings with a 31 point lead over Brandon Phillips. The remainder of the top five includes Ronnie Rose, Fred Hopkins and Josh Cave. Six drivers have collected feature victories in the opening six events.

A close battle is also featured in the WMDH ThunderCars where defending division champion Hannah Lundy leads Rob Allman by five points. Early season winner Frankie Oakes ranks third with Earl Adams ll and Travis Burge completing the top five.

The Thunder Roadsters will make their fourth appearance at Anderson Speedway this season. Chris Weddle has visited the winner’s circle in the previous three events. On Saturday night, the Thunder Roadsters will be showcased in a 25-lap feature event.

Making their second trip to Anderson this season, the Legends return for a 25-lap main event. Jack Dossey Jr. won the opener on March 31 over Bryan Nuckles and Matt Erich.

On Saturday, June 23, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
