DMI Camera & Autograph Night this Week at Port Royal Speedway

PORT ROYAL -- Port Royal Fairgrounds Speedway will present DMI Camera & Autograph Night this Saturday, June 23 at 7 pm featuring a full program of 410 sprint, late model and 305 sprint action.

General admission fans will be permitted access to the pit area prior to racing action in order to meet and greet the drivers from 5:15 until 6 pm.

At intermission, First National Bank of Mifflintown will present a Kids Money Scramble on the speedway frontstretch for youth ages 12 and under.

Hundreds of dollars in change will be scattered on the speedway for the kids to gather up.

Mexico Video & Pizza is also providing sponsorship of the event.

DMI of Lancaster will be giving away free autograph books and markers as fans enter the pit area for the 45-minute meet and greet session.

In addition, more than 100 adult and student general admission ticket holders will receive a free slice of pizza and a fountain soda courtesy of DMI.

The firm is an innovator of the sprint car industry and offers numerous and varied selections of sprint car components.

The 305 sprint portion of the program will be the first of the season at Port Royal after the first two have fallen to rain.

As the season reaches its mid point at Port Royal, Chad Layton currently leads the sprint point standings while Tim Wilson leads in late models.

Sprint winners this season have been Greg Hodnett, 5; Lance Dewease, 2; Damion Gardner, 1; Rick Lafferty, 1; and Layton, 1.

Late model winners have been Tim Wilson, 2; Coleby Frye, 1; Andy Haus, 1; Scott Haus, 1; and Brett Schadel, 1.

General admission for the show is $15 with students ages 12 - 18 admitted for just $5.

Gates open at 5 pm.
