BECHTELSVILLE, Pa. -- Three divisions of stock car racing competition will be featured in the WNPV-1440AM Radio sponsored night at Grandview Speedway on Saturday (August 4).

The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will use their part of the Saturday night show as a tuning session for the $20,000 to win Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings 50-lap main event. The annual 50-lap race, set for Saturday, August 11th, is run in memory of the man who had the idea and turned the idea into one of the most successful short track racing operations in the nation.

This Saturday night the Modifieds will race in a 30-lap feature race while the Sportsman will top off their night with a 25-lap feature and the Late Models will go in a 20-lap feature race. The Late Models will have a little extra to race for as Linda and Joe Moskal of WNPV-AM Radio have posted $14.40 for the leader of each feature race lap.

At least 12 events will make up the Saturday night show.

Adult admission for the August 4th night race will be $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted FREE.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and racing gets the green at 7:30 p.m.

Duane Howard, a past NASCAR 358 Modified champion, currently leads the Modified standings and has managed to win an impressive eight feature victories. And after his impressive run, gaining 26 positions to finish second in the 60-lap Race of Champions Modified race at Grandview on Tuesday night, Howard will most likely be the center of attention as he chases his ninth Saturday night win of the season. Five time champion Chuck Schutz leads the Late Model standings and Craig Whitmoyer continues to be on top in the chase for the Sportsman championship.

On Sunday, August 5th, 1 p.m. the NEETS Enduro racers compete in a 100-lapper for big cars, 100 lapper for small cars, 25-laps for ladies and the Blast from the Past Vintage Cars are in action. Adult admission is just $7.
