Thursday, June 21, 2012 ASAMT Preparing for Marshfield Motor Speedway June 30
 by Kari Shear-Carlson
The ASA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings will head back to Marshfield Motor Speedway next Saturday night, June 30th for the Marshfield 100. Marshfield has been "under the weather" so far this season as mother nature seems to have taken over. Several weekend events have been postponed and rescheduled already this season. But the ASA Midwest Tour is ready to bring bright sunny skies when they return to the half-mile oval next weekend. Some of the most exciting races in the ASAMT have occurred at Marshfield Motor Speedway and June 30th will no doubt be the same. Last year's winner and 2012 ASAMT Rookie of the Year contender, Jason Weinkauf and the rest of the field including all of the ECHO and ECHO Bear Cat Touring Stars will be ready to let the sparks fly. This Saturday night, fans can get a sneak peak for the ASA Midwest Tour 100-lapper on June 30th. Saturday night is the 60-lap Yellow River Racing Series Super Late Model Feature event. According to those with Marshfield Motor Speedway, several Tour drivers have mentioned that they would be on hand to race this Saturday evening. For the Yellow River Racing Series, the ASAMT will present a total of $1000 toward the point fund. $500 will be awarded to the highest ASA Midwest Tour competitor participating in the series, with the other $500 being awarded to the highest finishing non-regular ASA Midwest Tour competitor. Make your plans now to head on up to Marshfield Motor Speedway for the ASA Midwest Tour Marshfield 100 next Saturday, June 30th. Continue to follow asamidwesttour.com for upcoming news and details.
