CBS and CBS Sports Network to Both Air Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Action Sunday

CORONA, Calif. -- Tune into CBS and CBS Sports Network Sunday for extensive coverage of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. The racing action begins on CBS at 1:00pm ET/10:00am ET with the in-depth coverage of Pro 2 Round 7 racing action from the E3 Spark Plugs Utah Off Road Nationals presented by Toyota from Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT.

The CBS program also features an up-close segment on Danny Way, the internationally known skateboarder and X Game athlete. Way is adding Super Lite class off road racing to his extreme athlete resume, following the path of other drivers who have utilized the Super Lite class to develop their driving skills before making the move up to the premiere ranks.

The points battle is intense heading into Round 7, with the top two Pro 2 drivers Marty Hart and Rob MacCachren separated by only 7 points, increasing the pressure on the entire field.

The Off Road action continues on CBS Sports Network at 8:00pm ET/5:00pm PT with Pro Lite class racing from Round 6, the GEICO Duel in the Desert presented by General Tire at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, AZ.

The program features a recap of the Round 5 Pro Lite results along with an up-close segment on the future of the sport, the Pro Lite Rookie Class of 2012. The show takes a behind the scenes look at their impressive performances while coming up through the premier ranks this season, having to contend with the seasoned veterans while attempting to make a name for themselves in the sport.

Heading into Round 6, the close Pro Lite points battle has RJ Anderson holding onto a slim 8 point lead over the largest field of drivers in the Series that includes class newcomers Noah Fouch and Shannon Campbell.
