BETHEL, N.Y. -- Riding the momentum of a first half of the season that has seen numerous Bethel Legends regulars in the hunt for state and national points championships, Bethel Motor Speedway announced that Legends had been added to the schedule for this coming Saturday, August 11th. The race will be for INEX national points. Bethel Motor Speedway Legends drivers in all divisions are making a statement in their quest for INEX points. In the Pro division, Raven Schrantz sits first in points for her home state of Pennsylvania, and is currently ranked third nationally. Jim Hoffman and Barry Schrantz are second and third in Pennsylvania state points, respectively. Alessandro Vitelli, who has seven feature event wins and the “Firecracker Madness” weekend title to his credit, sits third in points for his home state of Connecticut. In the Semi Pro division, Eugene Drew is ranked first for his home state of New Jersey, while Russell Sniffen is ranked third in New York state points. Joe DeGracia sits third in points for the state of New Jersey. Young Lions driver David Schilling, who has picked up eight feature win at Bethel so far this year, sits second in the state of New York. Matt Evans, who leads the Bethel Young Lions/Semi Pro point standings with two feature event wins and the “Firecracker Madness” weekend title on his resume, is ranked third in the state. Dylan Hoffman, a rookie competitor in Legends, is ranked second in the state of Pennsylvania. Robert Silver and Matt Gaughan are ranked first and second in the state of New Jersey. Current Bethel Pro/Masters point leader Joe Graf is first in his home state of New Jersey in Masters division points, and is ranked eighth nationally. Bill Johnston is leading New York state points in the division, while Jim Donelli is second in the state. Jeffrey Lefcourt and Fred Graf are ranked second and third, respectively, in the state of New Jersey. These talented drivers – and many others – take to the track weekly at Bethel Motor Speedway, where fans can catch them in action for just $6 grandstand admission. This coming Saturday, they will join a jam-packed schedule that includes two Sportsman feature events, as well as the Bandolero, Pro Stock, Street Stock, BMS Modified, and 4 Cylinder divisions. Fans will get a special treat as the ATQMRA Midgets make their second and final appearance of the season.
